TGIS right?! the weekend at fucking last! or for those amongst us who are more spiritually-inclined - happy summer solstice day. apparently this is the longest day of the year and the first day of summer so we best enjoy it before it's over y'all! it was a beautiful day in NYC today, aside from the fact that the bloody weatherman had predicted thunder storms and the occasional rainy shower which never actually came to fruition.anyways, in order to celebrate the greatness that is the weekend, i thought it would be an appropriate occasion to post about the hawtness that is Under the Influence of Giants' music. i discovered them a few days ago when looking for similar artists to Young Love, and although they sound nothing like them in my humblest of humble opinions, they still rawk!
counting their influences as the Beatles, The Who and Led Zepp, this is a band to keep a close eye out for in the next few months methinks. i personally have been listening to the two tracks below on my iPod non-stop since i downloaded 'em, but let me know what you think - i'd like to know if i'm the only dude obsessed with this band atm. hopefully there's more like me out there... wishful thinking...
